HASLEMERE’S MP Jeremy Hunt is urging everyone to take full advantage of the full array of events taking place during the 2006 festival. Jeremy formally launched the Festival at a ceremony at Branksome Conference Centre on 17th March and will be playing an active role in it. The festival, which runs from May 12 until May 29, promises a wide variety of entertainment from jazz and blues events to night time bat walks with leading conservationists. Some of the events Jeremy will be attending include a concert by the Maggini Quartet in St. Barthomew's Church on 25th May. He is also giving a talk ""Impressions of Westminster"" at 11 am on 26th May at the Haslemere Museum. Mr Hunt said: “The Festival shows off the very best of Haslemere, with both local and world-class talent. It really is Haslemere to the world and the world to Haslemere, and there is something for absolutely everyone. We are immensely lucky in Haslemere to have this diverse festival so I hope everyone gives it their full support.""
