A key statutory body, which could assist in the fight to prevent quarries being located at Eashing Farm or in Monkton Lane, has arranged to visit both sites with Jeremy Hunt MP.The MP for South West Surrey orchestrated the visit with English Nature in a bid to secure support for his campaign to get both sites ruled out of Surrey County Council’s draft minerals plan.Jeremy said: “English Nature has informed me that they do have some key concerns over the inclusion of these two sites in the draft minerals plan. “I am delighted that their Conservation Officer Nick Radford has agreed to visit the site with me as I hope he and I will be able to work closely together to get the council to rule out Monkton Lane and Eashing.”The site visit is taking place on September 22.
