Jeremy Hunt, MP for SW Surrey has received confirmation in April from Tim Shoveller, Managing Director for South West Trains, that both Haslemere and Farnham train stations are listed in SWT's plans for the new car park spaces and that the rail company have sufficient funds to build a 'simple' car park at both locations to increase parking. Jeremy said, 'after having long and complex dialogue with both SWT and the Department for Transport, I'm delighted to hear that the hard work of everyone concerned has paid off and finally there we now have a firm commitment from SWT to increase parking at these very popular stations.'
